Bill Spilman
President
Bill has 35 years of professional journalism experience, nearly 30 of which are association related.
Before founding IMS in 1999, Bill served on-staff as the Publications Manager at the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) in Park Ridge, IL. This valuable experience makes Bill keenly aware of what editorial teams and association executives expect from professional representation.
Bill is a cum laude graduate of Western Illinois University. He also holds an Associate of Arts degree from Carl Sandburg College. Bill has served as a volunteer in many different church and community roles, including founding the Oneida Farmers Market, chairing the Galesburg City Slogan and Logo contests, and developing the Galesburg High School Sports Record Book. He is a monthly chapel speaker at the Galesburg Rescue Mission.
Mary Spilman
VP, CFO
Mary is the co-founder of IMS and has served as the company's VP and CFO for its 22 years of existence. Before co-founding IMS, Mary was a recreation supervisor at River Trails Park District in Mt. Prospect, IL.
She is a graduate of Western Illinois University. Mary and her husband, Bill, are the proud parents of six children. She volunteers in her church's children's and youth ministries.
